History of Wescott Agri Products Incorporated
Wescott Agri Products Incorporated had a humble start as an apple orchard founded on 40 acres site in the beautiful rolling plains of Southeastern Minnesota in the early 70s. The long hot days followed by crisp clear cool nights provided the perfect setting for Robert "Doc" Wescott to develop and cultivate the wonderful Minnesota varieties that would latter become one of the foundation blocks for Wescott Agri Products. Doc Wescott was soon joined by his son Fred who quickly went to work to develop packing and distribution opportunities with regional retail outlets. Wescott Agri Products also established business relationships with many regional growers, west coast marketing groups and international importer/exporters.
All of these efforts helped diversify Wescott Agri Products from a grower of apples to a leading packer, processor, importer and distributor of tree fruit in the upper mid-west. With a continual focus on meeting customer needs, providing innovative solutions and delivering high quality products, Wescott Agri Products has developed a loyal customer base.
Wescott Agri Products operates out of a very large modern packinghouse centrally located in the rural city of Elgin, MN in Southeastern Minnesota. The company employs 15 permanent staff and up to 100 casual staff in peak season. We custom pack a full range of tree fruits including a full range of apple varieties, citrus varieties and more.
